Here's a
feel-good story. A senior softball player for Western Oregon University hits the first home run of her career, but blows out her knee as she's rounding first. She crawls back to first but can't go any further; her teammates can't help her or she'll be called out. So the opposing first baseman and shortstop from Central Washington University pick up the injured player and carry her around the bases, helping her touch each base with the non-injured leg. The home run decided the game and Central Washington was eliminated from playoff contention.
