Cigar friendly places in Austin

What's the smoking situation in Austin these days?  Any cigar bars, or places that are cigar friendly?  Staying downtown, but can drive anywhere, I guess.  Any info would be helpful.

There is a cigar club/shop near the corner of 8th and Congress. They've got a smoking lounge in the back, and the owner is a pretty cool guy named Charlie. Not sure what his policy is about outside cigars smoked in his lounge, but if you buy there, he'll probably be willing to talk you ear off while you smoke.

Also, I know the balcony of the Steven F. Austin is cigar friendly, and with a pretty nice view.

My smoking friends frequently stop at Heroes and Legacies in the Arboretum (behind Barnes and Noble).  They have a huge humidor and smoking lounge

'Lil Woodrow's on Parmer at Mcneil is cigar friendly (not sure about LS's downtown).  No place in the domain allows it, so forget the patio at Jasper's, Joe D's, etc.

Definitely.  I was in Austin Mon-Thur for a trade convention, but had to settle for smoking on the street corner, which isn't quite as relaxing as sitting in a nice leather chair.  It's getting rough on smokers these days, and while I understand the desire to make restaurants and public places smoke free, I don't understand the logic of prohibiting places that are strictly for the purpose of smoking.  There are very few smoke rooms left in Houston either, so it's most often my back patio or in my truck.  Still, there's nothing like sitting in a nice comfy chair in a wood paneled room relaxing with a cigar discussing the events of the day.  We'll have to make it happen.

Well, it was only Monday, Tuesday and Wednedsay nights, and I had business dinners two of those nights.  I should have though.  Next time I will.

Matter of fact, if you were in one of the super fancy on Congress hotels, you were probably less than 2 blocks from our place of business.

I was in the Residence Inn on 4th St, across from the Convention Center.  It was nice, but I wouldn't call it "super fancy".  The bed was way more confortable than my own though.
