White Sox beat writer is slow

Chicago Sun-Times beat reporter Joe Cowley takes on the pros in a series of video reports to show that it's not always as easy on the field as it seems.

Cowley dogged Piershitface for throwing out only 16% of runners last year, so he challenges him saying he could steal 5 out of 10 times... and Piershitface throws out Cowley 10 of 10 times (of course). Video is longish.
Oye. Vamos, vamos.

They should have had Cowley squat back there and try to throw someone out.  He's really learn how hard it is.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I agree... Gear him up and just have him try and get the ball to 2nd 10 times.

Piershitski should have said "and I'll give you $1,000 for every throw that doesn't bounce."  Just to rub it in a little.

What is really striking in the video is how much bigger Piershitface is than Cowley. He just just towers over him.

Yikes!  You know, Pierzynski is an asshole, but major leaguers should not deign to indulge this foolishness.  What did the beat writer think would happen?  Plus, pitchers have a little bit to do with stolen bases, do they not?

If he was a smart beat writer, he would have pitched a fit about having a lefty on the mound.  Not that it would have mattered but it does make getting a lead tougher.

Did you watch the entire video?  He tried it against a righty too.  Hell, he even tried it when the pitcher was in the windup.  The writer was simply a classic example of someone who has no talent making a living by criticizing someone who does.

Pitchers have a lot to do with it, but apparently not when you have wheels like Cowley's.

Just another example of the infamous alligator mouth/hummingbird ass syndrome. What the hell did Cowley expect? I can certainly see why AJ agreed to this, hoping it will shut the little prick up.
