Venezuelan Baseball Book
« on: April 01, 2008, 08:47:34 pm »
Came across a review of a new book about the scouting and development of Venezuelan baseball.  Sounds like an interesting read.  The astros play a key part because they were the first, though by some accounts they have not benefited as much as they should have due to letting players get a way in rule 5 drafts and such.

'Venezuelan Bust, Baseball Boom: Andrés Reiner and Scouting on the New Frontier' by Milton H. Jamail

Here is the review from the LA Times and the Amazon info on the book.

Always ready to go to a game.
