After the top of the 1st, Tigers lead 1-0. Wandy went full on several batters, JD commented on how much work he had to do.

Pence double, Elvis walk, Tejada single - Astros load the bases, but Erstad can't get anyone home.

After 1, 1-0.

Roy on the headset.

"My dad once told me a ground ball never goes over the fence."

Feels comfortable throwing to Brad (6 years), takes a while to adjust to someone new. Threw to Chavez one year, took two months to adjust. Lobbying for Brad to catch him.

Polanco two run bomb. 3-0, Mid 2.
Oye. Vamos, vamos.

Flapjack playing the ball off the wall barehanded was nice.  But the subtle part was how he had angled himself to be in position to make the throw as soon as he grabbed it.

OH, leave Wandy alone.  This is the most he's thrown in a month.  He's just taking the ball and throwing it.

First 'hit' off Woody was anything but. Flapjack was making a sliding catch on a fly to left and it hit off the heel of his glove, goes into center. Triple.
Oye. Vamos, vamos.

Run comes in on a sac in front of the track in left, then a couple of quick outs ends the inning.

Woody told the media before the game that he thought the decision had already been made about him.

Double off the wall in left, walk, single to left center scores a run. Fly to left. Double off the wall in deeeep right center near the hill. 9-0.
Oye. Vamos, vamos.

Woody is trying to stay on the edges.  For the most part his collection of junk is well placed.  But he can't put anyone away.  Real deja vu with Shane.

In the 7th, Williams threw more fastballs.   Also Ausmus was catching.  And, the hitters were not as good as the 6th.

I had to go check this. It was Thames, Inge and Sardinha. So, not exactly minor leaguers.

But not, Rodriguez, Polanco, Sheffield, Ordonez, Cabrera, Guillen, Renteria.  The biggest difference in the 7th was he threw the fastball for strikes.

you know an offense is ridiculous when Miguel Cabrera bats 5th. Then again, I suspect he and Sheffield might eventually be switched.

you know an offense is ridiculous when Miguel Cabrera bats 5th.

I saw them use one lineup where Pudge batted eighth. I thought, well, all they need is Vladimir Guerrero to bat seventh and they might have a pretty decent lineup.

That team is insane.
