He seems to have done better in the National League...

Saw that as well.  I know he had a very good rookie season with the Braves and some pretty decent seasons afterwards.  Any thoughts as to why he sucked so badly last season (besides moving to a more powerful American League)?

You might want to temper that a bit.  He was highly erratic while with the Braves... unfortunate by-product of being married to a Braves fan, that I know that.

He had an injured finger much of the time last year. My friend thinks he could help the good guys.

I think he at least worth a look, not exactly like they have obviously better options at the moment.
