so, I'm sitting here watching the game...
« on: March 06, 2008, 01:59:43 pm »
...on my "lunch break".  Passed ball, Berkman at the plate and he just stands there.  Isn't he supposed to back off the plate and give Towels barrelling down the 3rd base line an up or down signal?  Or do those rules not apply in spring training?
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

Since you are watching....How does Backe look?  And I don't want--"With his eyes."

Ground ball outs?  Fly outs?  Getting in in the K zone?

Lots of flies and hard hit balls.  He's up and in on righties a lot or overcompensating in and in the dirt.  He looks rusty and the slow stuff is getting crushed.  Looks like he's working on that change like everyone else.  Looks like the Tribe hitters read the papers too.

Berkman didn't do what he would do in a regular season game, but then again, one nevers really knows about him. Kangaroo Court will fix him. He might have been thinking that there's a catcher down at 3B who won't be running anyway.

A catcher?  JUST a catcher?  Hot Towles got legs, son!  And he most definitely knows how to use them!

You and I know that Hot Towles has legs, but does Twinkie know that yet?

NTTAWWT....but...I dont think Twinkie swings...that...way.
Here are just a few of the key ingredients: dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers - can you see how incredible this is going to be?
