Luke Scott talks about his awful Astros days

He is happy to be out of Houston:

There were many games when I couldn't figure out why he was benched in favor of an outfielder hitting .160. I doubt that will be the case in the AL. I certainly wish him well and good luck.

Of course, the Orioles have been known as such an enlightened and forward-thinking organization over the last twenty years or so (the Angelos years.)

I can't wait to hear Scott's "take" on Baltimore once they trade him away.

Alrighty then, that pretty much throws everyone under the bus.  Any wonder they tried to get rid of him for two years running?  Coach is right, Scott was a "me first" guy and not a good teammate.  When in Round Rock, Jackie Moore had to talk to him more than once about his attitude and how he was basically not being a part of the team.

Can't or wont?  Because the Astros explained it a number of times.  Lane is a better fielder, especially in center, and Scott was injured most of the time.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This "in the dark" shit coming from a player gets me. A player should always be ready to go. Players have no right to give management input as to who should play or to get a headsup from management about playing. I'm glad we moved him. As a fourth OF'er this season, he'd have been a cancer in the clubhouse.

It's a shame the Astros held Luke back. If they would have allowed him the opportunity to shine, they could have gotten more in return for him in a trade.

Always thought of Luke as a really good AAAA player. So-so in the actual bigs. He seemed to fall into that over-rated for being perceived as under-rated category. (if that makes any sense)
