Pettitte Live News Conference?
« on: February 18, 2008, 02:05:40 pm »
Anyone know what's going on?  Being televised or radioed?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

he is demanding a trade to Houston.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I suspect there will be little substance, just some hemming and hawing about wanting to get on with his life, put the pieces back together, wants to help the Yankees win, yada, yada, yada.  We'll see.

missed most of it, but he's currently dodging any and all questions in regards to "misremembering".  just won't answer them.

meh.
Here are just a few of the key ingredients: dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers - can you see how incredible this is going to be?

He's looking a lot better than Clemens.  He's avoiding calling Clemens a liar but repeating that he gave his statement under oath.  Which apparently has more meaning to him than it does to others.

APe's PR team >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Roger's PR Team.

Of course, the clients have a lot to do with it.   Trying to control Roger's ego must be like trying to  floss an angry alligator.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Throughout this whole Clemens/Pettitte ordeal, I can't help but singing along to the testimony.  Sometimes a song just fits so right.  The Animal's have this one pegged.

Baby, do you understand me now
Sometimes I feel a little mad
But don't you know that no one alive
Can always be an angel
When things go wrong I seem to be bad
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And sometimes it seems that all I have do is worry
Then you're bound to see my other side
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
If I seem edgy I want you to know
That I never mean to take it out on you
Life has it's problems and I get my share
And that's one thing I never meant to do
Because I love you
Oh, Oh baby don't you know I'm human
Have thoughts like any other one
Sometimes I find myself long regretting
Some foolish thing some little simple thing I've done
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Yes, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Yes, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
