McLane says that the 'stros don't have a "backup plan" if Tejada is unable to play this season.  Just off the top of my head, I could see Kaz shifting over to SS, and having Loretta (or a Loretta/Blum/Wiggy platoon) at 2B.  It certainly doesn't help the defense to have those slower guys out there every day, but none of them are a liability at the plate, either.

Now is when we see whether Mclane's loyalty to Selig carries any weight.  That's assuming the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee pays any attention to Selig.
