Interesting ones include Victor Diaz the 25 year old who played for the Rangers last year and was once a Mets prospect as well as JR House coming back.

House has a good chance to be in Round Rock and one step away from the big leagues again as a backup.  Hopefully he's doing better with the catching skills than before, because he was pretty mediocre the last time.

I had heard the same things but with Ausmus still here I'm wondering where Humberto fits in or did he get released and I not notice it

Humberto is on the 40-man roster.  I assume he'll be the starter in Round Rock, to be called up if Towles or Ausmus gets hurt.
blah, blah, blah . . .

Boy, I remember the 2000 draft when Lance Neikro was drafted.  I was really hoping that the Astros would be able to get him in the second round and he was drafted a couple of slots ahead of the Astros.  Boy was I disappointed.  I guess that one worked out okay.  Here's hoping that he can find some life with the Astros.  It's not like the team has so many great options at 3rd base.

Of course, Lance has played almost exclusively at 1B, but who knows?  Self/Saccomanno/Niekro/House? ... somebody needs to find another position.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Quintero is out of options.  Meaning that he'll have to clear waivers if he doesn't break camp on the 25-man active roster.  I'm not sure, however, whether Quintero yet has the right to decline an assignment to Round Rock and opt for free agency if he were to slide through waivers.

Quintero is out of options, which means he would have to be outrighted to the minors, which would be his second time (at least).  He would, therefore, have the option of free agency.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.
