I think that he could play short and would be a good player.  He could hit .250 to .260 with 15 homers.

I think his possible role is a Bruntlett player who gives versatility at the end of the bench.   He's 31 and has yet to play a full season in the bigs.  He'll have to fight to stick.

From what I've seen of Cody so far, I would be surprised if he was not in the mix for a role on the '08 team, whatever that role may be. The new powers to be might think differently though.

At age 31, he could play short for about 5 years.  He looks like he can do it.
