Did the Pirates consult with the Cubs on this firing?  After all, it did seem as though Littlefield worked for the Cubs.

Only thing I can figure is that Morris will hang 'em up next year (or in 2008, whenever his contract expires) and become the Bucco's pitching coach.  Yeah I know, that's a stretch.
