The HWL starts in a month.  RHP Sean Walker, C Lou Santangelo, and 3B Chris Johnson were assigned to Honu.

You can listen to their games online this fall.

I'm not too familiar with the winter leagues.  I'm guessing by the players that were assigned to the respective winter leagues that the Arizona winter league is a level higher than the HWL?  Is a winter league assignment viewed as reward to a certain extent for minor leaguers?
Reading Richard Justice and respect level for Richard Justice are inversely related

I posted it yesterday in the thread down from this one, titled "AFL rosters out".

It's amazing what can happen if you do a little search before posting.  I was just going to post a link to your thread.  Jacksonian you never get near enough credit for the great job you do here.  I just wanted to say thanks.

Its amazing what a little bit of bed side manners could do for you. You don't even know me, yet you throw same lame ass comment out that I should search before I post. I frequent this board 5 to 6 times a day. I just missed it. No big deal.

Were you a hall monitor in elementary school are something?

On another note thanks for your reply Jacksonian!

And people can register and hack off the majority of the board in one day.  Tread lightly.  Just because you are in the minors section doesn't mean you can't get your cyber butt kicked out of here.

That is now 12 strike outs out of 5 2/3 innings pitched

Chris Johnson is no longer on the North Shore Honu roster.  The HWL official site list him as having left the team for "injury/personal reasons".

Good pick up.  Hart was something of a butcher at the hot corner for Salem this year.  I'll be curious to see where he plays in Hawaii.

So far:
PH/DH one game and LF for the other 2.

He is hitting .273 with 3 RBI.  Last game he played he went 3/4 with 2 RBI, one run scored and one stolen base.  Right now, he has as many K's as hits (3 out of 11).

Makes sense.  It looked like they were trying to move him to the OF last year.  For those who have seen him play, does he have the arm for RF if he can adjust to playing the OF at all?  Or is he stuck in LF??

He was the backup to Leinert at USC.  He's got plenty of arm.  I'm not sure of his range though.

If he's stuck in LF then he likely won't ever start for the Astros.

We'll know what the Astros are thinking no later than April long term for Hart.

I don't know if I can get an answer on him before then.

Feeling kinda sheepish here, missed that Sean Walker was on the roster the whole season and I haven't noticed.

Mr. Walker has made 4 appearances, with his most recent being a start.  In all he has logged 12 1/3 innings with an ERA of 4.38.  It has been all or nothing for him.  Two outings against Waikiki he has gone 6 innings giving up 2 hits, 2 walks, 7 K's a save and an ERA of 0.00.  His other two outings, he has gone 6 1/3 innings giving up 10 hits, 4 walks, 6 earned runs and K'd 4.

Down the home stretch they come:

The HWL season ends on the 18th.  Here are the updated stats:

Lou continues his strong showing.  He has played in 21 games and his hitting 290 with an OPS of 815.  He has struck out 21 times in 69 AB.

Billy Hart has not made the most of the chance at the plate since he joined the team.  He is batting .136 in the 8 games he has joined the team.  He is currently 0 for November (11 AB).  He has struck out 9 out of 22 AB.  He has made no errors in the field, which may be more important since he was spending time in the OF this winter.

Bud Norris will likely make one more start this season.  He has made the most of his winter.  He has an ERA of 3.38 and 31 Ks in 21 1/3 innings.

Sean Walker has an ERA of 3.52 in five appearances (one start). He had his third outing against Waikiki which was scoreless like the other two.

They will play one more game today for the championship but the regular season is over.

Santangelo - Ended up at .304 in 25 games.  OPS was an impressive .845.  The only down side was 24 Ks in 79 AB.

Hart - Ended up at .171 in 13 games.  Playing mostly LF.

Norris - Ended up with 33 Ks in 24 2/3 innings.  A 2-1 record and a 3.65 ERA.  Gave up 16 hits and 12 BB for a 1.14 WHIP.

Walker - Ended up 2-0 with a 3.20 ERA in 4 relief appearances and 2 starts.
