They're playing in Baltimore right?  I guess it's nice for the Orioles they didn't have to suffer the indignity of having the Arlington ballpark folks run out of fireworks like they did against the Astros a couple of years ago.

Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.

My favorite part was when the Rangers called Angelos a dirty pirate hooker, and told him to go back to his home on Whore Island.

I've been scooped! Oh well.

Salty's batting average at the beginning of that game was .179. He went 4 for 6 with 7 ribbies and ended the game with a .262.

Right now they're winning 6-4 in the 5th.

(Edited to correct Salty's beginning batting average, since I made a dingbat typo.)

How does your average go down when you go 4-6 (.667), when it started out at .279? Did you mean .362?

The Rangers just beat the Orioles 30-3, setting an all-time record for runs scored in a game. And thanks to the arbitrary definition of a "save," Wes Littleton "earned" a "save."

30-3.

Wes Littleton "saved" the game.

The only counting stat that my friend growing up from little league ever got in the bigs. No wins, no losses 1 save (pitched the last 3 innings of a 13-1 or something like that game against the Red Sox). Maybe the stat means something to him- probably not, but who knows.  Save only in the sense of any other bullpen arms having to work.

It's all payback for the Elian Gonzalez thing.

At least it's something. By the way, innings pitched are counting stats...

I was wondering how in the world they gave up 30 runs....there was probably a close play at the plate somewhere in the low 20s.
He breezed him, one more time!
