Bonds can't possibly win, but it would still be a ton of fun.

Either Bonds really is clean, or he's really stupid. If he's not clean, venturing anywhere near a courtroom seems like an invitation to disaster.

"...the New York Daily News reported on its web site Thursday..."

'Nuff said.

Shouldn't he be suing the guys who wrote the book about his (alleged) steroid use?  They have actually profited from their statements.

No kidding...

If you could sue a guy just for being an asshole, I'd have a lot more lawfirms on my celphone's speed dial.

I'm no lawyer, but wouldn't it be pretty hard to show that Bonds' character could be defamed any further?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I think he wouldn't want to review their sources and proof in a court.

Defense attorneys, rather than plaintiff's, no doubt.
