How can they tell if it was one dose or more than one? Don't some of the stimulants stay in the body for a long time? I thought that was what happened to some other guy (with the Mariners, maybe).

I don't think it's necessarily the case that he's stupid, it's just that he's a marginal player at best and so he needs to juice in order to hang on in the bigs.

he thought it was worth the risk to stay in the bigs. you just do not understand the mindset.
