FSN postgame
« on: July 02, 2007, 02:39:11 pm »
Excuse if this has already been discussed.  Missed the game yesterday but caught a brief part of the postgame interviews:
1. Ausmus responded to a comment by Ortiz as if Jesus was an unwelcome insect or a bothersome piece of lent.

2. Hunter gave credit to his 4 hit performance to Biggio.  Said that Biggio told him to go straight to the tee after Saturday's game rather than extra batting practice on Sunday.  Hunter said that the tee allowed him to work out the kink (pulling off) himself.

after (i think) the double, there was a closeup of Pence talking to the Rockies SS. you could see clearly him say "i've been pulling off."

New guy here. FIRE AT WILL.  I've enjoyed my lurking and have learned a lot, thanks.   So, was that Ortiz who asked Brad: "tell us what you really think" or something like that after Brad went off on MLB?  Brad didn't even look at the guy, he just says " I think I already did."  It was very obvious he didn't even want to be talking to that dipshit. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure you meant "lint", since "lent" is roughly cotemporaneous with spring training.  Earned a smile, though.

Yes, I am an idiot.  Nice including "Jesus" and "lent" in the same sentence talking about Ortiz.  Brilliant.

I can't remember now.  It might have had something to do with the all-star voting.  BTW, if Ausmus dislikes Ortiz so much, why did he write the foreword to his book?

I was a bit surprised by that myself.  The foreward by Ausmus was frankly the only interest I had in that book.  I refused to spend my own money on it, but a family member happened to give it to me for Christmas.  Ausmus is the one who should be writing a book.

First book I ever saw that was shelved in the kindling section.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to add Libby's memoirs from behind bars to the list. Guess we'll have to settle with Paris Hilton's.

I love it when people try to defend political pundits by comparing them to someone that is nothing more than a war protestor! Bill O' does not equal Cindy Sheehan. Comparing him to Keith Olberman would be more appropriate, simply because he is the only alternative view to conservatism that the corporate media allows to have a show! And yes, this is a very appropriate day to "do this".

So that's what "mutually assured destruction" means.

By the way, LaRussa was in PETA's top 10 "Sexiest Vegetarians" list this year.

Edited to add: The Link. May I never type the words "Larussa PETA sexiest" into Google ever again.
