Let's get moving:

Beau Torbert to AAA

What's happening on the Round Rock roster to make room for Torbert?

The Express have already got five OFs (Lane, Rodriguez, Anderson, Raines, and Wesson).

Luke Scott may not be as healthy as they think, so don't be surprised if someone gets called up if Scott is placed on the DL.

Please don't say Lane... please done say Lane...
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I was thinking Lane trade?

ETA: Smilies have taken away the ability to add multiple ? to a sentence for effect.  I don't want no stinking smiley.

Another possibility is a release of a AAAA player.  The lower levels are backing up at OF.  There are 6 on the roster in Greeneville & Tri Cities.  I don't think any are ready to move any time soon but that is crowded.  You can only play 3 and bat 4 a day if you use one as a DH

Both a Lane trade or a release of Barry Wesson (for example) are possibilities.

One other note on the Torbert move, it means he will not be able to play in the Texas League All Star game.  There must be something happening that couldn't wait until the 26th.

The Hooks' radio  broadcaster announced during tonight's game that the Astros will be allowing Torbert to return to Corpus on Tuesday in order to participate in the Texas League All-Star Game.

So who do you bring up from Salem to take Torbert's place?  Flores or Einertson?

Their numbers are similar.  Flores is slightly younger (6 months), has +++ speed, better defense.  Einertson has shown a little more pop, and is overcoming some off field stigma.  I vote Flores

Flores is slightly older. He is born in '85 and Einerston is born in '86.

Well, now I have offensive players I actually care about in AA ball now.  ::)

Seriously, there was no one in AA that I even cared about watching for the first half of the year. Not including the pitcher.

FLores is fun to watch.  Esp. watching him run.

Manzella isn't much to watch offensively but his glove is very nice.

The AAA roster move to make room for Torbert:

Quote
Outfielder Beau Torbert was called up from Double-A Corpus Christi on Friday to fill the roster spot of pitcher Scott Sauerbeck, who was released on June 19. In one game for the Express, Torbert had a walk in three at-bats.

Well, I understand that he took Sauerbeck's roster spot, but what the heck are the Express going to do with a roster that includes six OFs?

As was reported in the Brad James thread, he has been called up,  in other pitching news, the dominoes fall:

Quote
The Hooks’ pitching staff underwent a shakeup on Sunday. Right-hander Miguel Asencio was reassigned from Class AAA Round Rock while fellow righty Brad James was promoted from high-A Salem, with lefty Jeff Wigdahl sent down to Salem.

Tyler Evans (ss/2b) has been signed out of the frontier league.  He was playing for Florence KY.

In 17 games, he had hit .192 with 15 k's in 52 AB's

So far for the Legends, he is 0 for 8 with 6 k's.

He took the place of Jhon Florentino who was placed on the DL with a fracture thumb.
