The Mets believe, according to an official with one of the teams, that Lidge would be happy in a setup role for closer Billy Wagner, since Wagner was a mentor to him when Wagner was in Houston. The problem with Lidge is that the Astros might not deal him at all -- even if they decide they're out of the race in the pitiful NL Central.
