Derrek Lee takes one up around the head, looks like the pitch got away from Chris Young. The Padre catcher is talking to the ump about it hitting the knob of his bat or something, and then the camera cuts away and Lee is giving some lip to Young... and then takes a swing but didn't really connect. Benches clear and Zambrano has to be restrained. His belt was coming off for some reason, it was strange.

Lee is big, but Chris Young is bigger.

Apparently some bad blood from yesterday, but no warnings issued before the game today:

Young took a swing at Lee that, had it landed, well, I don't want to think what might have been the result.

I would've kicked out Zambrano. He came in late, from behind and whaling. I think he was in the clubhouse taking a piss when it all started.

The umpire should've been out there between Young and Lee from the get-go, instead of jawing with the Padres' catcher. Of course, the catcher should've been out there, too.

The odd thing was, when the fight broke out in the bottom of the 4th, both Young and Zambano were throwing no-hitters.

Also, a Hiram Bocachica sighting.

By the way, let's not overlook the fact that the Cubs have not scored. How awesome would it be if this cocksucker takes a no-no into the ninth only to watch his team score no runs, have the thing go to extra innings and watch Zambrano run out of gas?

Pads came dang close to scoring a run without recording a hit in the 7th. I'd love to see him pitch a no no and take the loss.

I'm loathe to ever advocate throwing at someone, because I think you hurt your team more by putting somebody on, but in Soriano's next turn at the plate, I would put one in his ear for this.

Speaking of which, last night after Mike Lamb's homerun, John Lackey threw up and in (head area) to Luke Scott (who himself hit a homerun his previous at bat). Umpire didn't even try to make anything of it, just gave Scott first base and Lackey a new baseball.

I don't think the ball hit him at all, but everyone seemed to be cool with it... Lackey was frustrated and pushed back on the Astros. The umpire didn't interfere and Scott just went to first and the Astros never retaliated.

I though Sampson would at least back someone up after that. I was wrong.
