Round Rock vs. Memphis on FSN right now
« on: May 28, 2007, 12:25:59 pm »
Dierker and someone (Mike Capps maybe? I don't know his voice well enough) are calling the game.  Anyone else watching?

I am now, thanks for the heads up. Just watched Rick Ankiel take Jared Gothreaux deep to tie the game.

A bit of a sparce crowd at the Dell today. Weather maybe. Capps said it was hot and humid after rain this morning.

Its been raining like a son of a bitch off and on all weekend in Austin.

We went yesterday, and it was a pretty thin crowd. But there were HUGE thunderheads in all directions.

But the rain never came.

We were out there today, but left after 6 because we've got to get things ready for company tonight.

Ankiel hit a shot into the Texadelphia pavilion. I've never seen that before; that had to be 440 feet. There were several long balls, fair and foul. More evidence that balls carry better in humid air, since it was definitely humid (and hot, too, when the sun was out).

you have it backwards. Capps was calling the game. Dierker was color.

11,200 tickets sold today. many of them came dressed as empty seats.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Did I break some unknown code?  I only listed Dierker first because I recognized his voice.  I did not specify who was pbp and who was color.  I have only listened to Mr. Capps over the internet feed, the only way I usually get RR games.  I really enjoy him alot and if listing him second was an insult, I apologize.  I wish he were in line for Milo's job instead of those two yahoos they have now.

I thought the weather was fine.  Never got too hot, and the humidity wasn't as bad as it could've been.
