Tally board: Milo's "guests" at the ballgame
« on: April 17, 2007, 10:13:07 am »
Given last night's Ty Webb sighting, i thought it might be a good idea to put together a list of all of the "guests" at the game that Milo has unwittingly relayed.  I'll kick it off with:

Ty Webb
The Action 5 News Team from San Diego
Lambda Lambda Lambda from Adams College
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

These aren't the same as those they show at the game, are they?  I don't remember seeing any of those and we made a point to watch.

No, the point is that someone on the broadcast team is pulling one over on the Captain.

No, it's purely the booth guys having some fun with the sheet they hand Milo. I assume it's Brett and Dave having a laugh, as it never used to happen before last year. They've earned a good chuckle having to put up with the abuse Milo heaped on them throughout the first part of last year.

Does just this year count?  Last April he welcomed Billy Ray Valentine & associates and Duke & Duke Commodities.  It's in the archives somewhere.

Probably still my personal favorite.

names I have heard:

Derek Zoolander
Judge Smails
Carl Spackler

Surely someone close to Milo has let him in on this, right?   I find it hard to believe that ALL his friends and family are complete morons and have never heard of any of these characters.

I believe last year he welcomed both the Hanso Foundation and the Dharma Initiative.

I'd like to see the Scranton Branch of Dunder-Miflin, or the Residents from Sacred Heart, or perhaps Linderman and Associates.

Almost posted something about this

DoRay or whoever it was in the booth asked:  Did you just say BA Barackus had a group?

Milo- that's what it says right here on the sheet, i don't make it up

DoRay- ok, i was just wondering if that's what you said.

30 seconds later-

DoRay- hey milo- what do you think the BA stands for in BA Barackus  (background- laughter all over the booth).

Milo- mumbles something incoherrent about the cough button being on so they can't hear laughing.

They should have worked him into the Soprano's, just so someone could have offed him for sport/show.

Me- Milo's a condescending asshole, he deserves it.

Wife- But he's the voice of the astros

Me- yeah- well he still hates dierk for making fun of him about woody's...

Wife- 5 minutes later- that's pretty gross- I don't know why anyone would do that to him, he seems like a nice old man.

Come on, no he didn't! Really? Where's the Swindon lot from Wernham Hogg? Seated nearby I hope.

I think this amply demonstrates that whoever is behind this ongoing work of genius reads this board. If so, friend, give us a tip of the ol' cap by welcoming Gareth Keenan and friends at some point this season.
