Milo is sketchy
« on: April 04, 2007, 01:01:07 pm »
Last night, he must have asked for the scores from others games
at least 6 times.  He started singing during the inning Qualls got
jacked up and I am tired of him cracking on players (Ausmus not
moving the runner over) like he could do any better..

I liked a drunk harry caray before an embittered flake....

In other news: beer still tastes good, people continue to disagree on politics, and cats and dogs have yet to resolve their differences.

Maybe it's not just a word, but is a whole sentence -- "Disc in, I grated."

My favorite was when Milo was describing Scott's home run on the radio broadcast Monday...

Said it landed in some fellows soup out there in 9 "omeegas"...

Did anyone catch the "Or-Lando Calrissian" group visiting MMpark on Tuesday?

Classic...

There was also "Eric Cartman and Associates," which was nice.

Montgomery Burns led a group last night along with Cartman, and tonight I was in the stadium with 'Christopher Moltisanti and friends.' Fuhgeddaboudit.

Also, on a pop to shallow center caught by Biggio Milo seemed to think that Burke was playing second instead. It's interesting that Raymond doesn't try gently to correct him.

But what's more interesting is to contemplate who the hell is making up these groups. I hope he or she knows that their efforts do not go unnoticed and are much appreciated. I wonder if this is a sort of extension of Dierker's trying to get Milo to talk about a 'woody' or if it's someone in ticket sales giving a finger to his or her boss. Either way it's fucking funny.

The "interesting" groups happened at the beginning of last year, too.  Some really funny stuff in this thread (sorry, no idea how to format the link):  http://www.orangewhoopass.com/forums/index.php?topic=63812

Tonight's the first night I listened to the radio at all and I didn't catch anything along those lines.  I'll have to pay closer attention now that I know it's going on again.

Oh, and I should add that I like listening to Milo.  He still has a great voice and I'll be sad to see him go when he eventually steps down.  But you just gotta laugh sometimes.

When I got in the car last night and he said "ski" was pitching, I honestly sat there for 10 minutes driving down the road thinking "who the heck is ski?"

Current high school freshmen will be in college before he retires, so you have a while.
