Sounds like a one year with an option

...$3 million but could total $7.5 million if Floyd reaches games-played and plate-appearance levels. If he does, he could become a free agent in 2008 but also could return to take the total contract up to $17.5 million. Link

That's not a bad pickup for the money, especially if Merton gives little offense in LF.

Floyd in left, Soriano in center, the word "gapper" is going to take on special meaning for Cubs fans.
