In the first inning, Tomo Ohka couldn?t find the plate and walked the first 2 batters.  Lance Berkman didn?t care about balls and strikes and took an outside fastball the other way that cleared the field of play and the score was 3-0 before an out was recorded.

In the same inning, Adam Everett popped a single over 2nd to score another run.

The few Milwaukee fans that found themselves at the game began to express their displeasure.

In the 3nd, Scott tripled home 2, Everett homered in 2, 8 to nothin.   Then it got ugly.

Jason Hirsh, subbing for the still gimpy Clemens, recognized what a pitcher does in such a situation, and commenced to bringing the fastball.  David Bell also knew this and tee?d off the bottom the 3rd with a homer.

Luke Scott lead off the 5th with a homer and Berkman the 7th, a 450 something foot monster that prompted Garner to remove players before somebody got hurt.

Hirsh worked into the 7th but didn?t record an out in the inning.  It?s difficult to judge how he pitched because of the lopsided score.  Also, this is a team that Brandon Backe shut down from the waiting room for surgery.  So, who knows, but he got the win.

7th and the 8th, Brewers scored some runs.  Garner brought in Qualls to put a stop to that clap trap.

Nieve made an appearance in the 9th.  He popped 94 on the gun with good movement, 95, with bad movement.

JD was exhorting the Milwaukee fans still there to ?go home!? in the 9th.

Tomorrow at 1:05, with Wandy on the mound, they try for the sweep and to make it to .500 on the season.
