So does Ward qualify as a "plan B" for a good GM?  Maybe C, D, or E?  I'm still confused over what makes a "good" GM good.

Oh, that's easy, here's what a good GM sounds like,

a gm is good if at the end of the season you are in the world series because somehow you backed into to a trade.. quitision or just stumbled over a player that made all the difference
