Astros had a one run lead in the first.  Taveras singled, stole second, sac bunt and a fielders choice got him in.  The inning extended with 2 singles but Huff K?d.

Wandy Rodriguez, just up from the minors, was good through 3.1.  Then he gave up 3 walks, a single and the 2 out 2 run double down the 1b line by the pitcher.  Score was 4-1.

With 2 outs in the 5th, Lane, pinch hitting, Bush flipped up a 0-1 curve.  Lane bounced it off the glove of the diving shortstop; Taveras then flied to right.  Corey Hart meandered under the high fly, lost it, but hit the cut off man.  Taveras made the mistake of making the 3rd out at 3rd.  The score was 4-2.

Lidge came in for the 6th and eventually walked in a run.   Eric Munson lead of the 8th with a homerun; later in the inning, with 2 outs, Lamb singled home Taveras after he had stolen 2nd.   So it?s now 5-4.

Qualls relieved in the bottom of the 8th, walk, hit batter, single, and a sac fly scored another run.  The bases seemed to be perpetually loaded in this game.

Scott led off the 9th with a double but was not advanced.
