I didn't see the game, I didn't listen to the game, so this game recap is being brought to you via WKCI radio, all rumor all the time.

The Astros scored the first run, which is what they have been doing when they're winning. Mostly.  Munson, who was playing for Ausmus, singled in Lamb who was playing first for Berkman, who was playing left for Wilson.  Note the frequency with which the subs come through in this game.

That lasted until the 6th when Taveras got an infield hit and a Mueller wild throw put him on 2nd.  Lamb then singled him home.

In the 7th, another error by Mueller and a wild throw by Furcal scored Munson and NoCup.

Speaking of Wandy, he is apparently fully recovered from his liquid diet.  He also improved on last game by not pissing off an ump and getting his manager tossed.

"Dolan says it is obvious Wandy thinks he's getting squeezed. Lots of walking around the mound."  MusicMan

"Yes, he does look to be a little upset. There have been some close pitches." homer

He showed the maturity everyone has been raving about, calmed down and lasted 6.2 innings, marred only by a Kent homerun.

The defense also contributed, a nifty strike em out throw em out dp in the first started things off right.  Good thing too because Nomah, Mr Twitchy, followed that play with a double.

There was another double play in the 4th, but first...

"Nomah leads off with a walk, and Drew pops up to very shallow left... right off the dirt. Everett tracks it, and puts his glove up to make the catch.... but the ball falls about 10 feet away from him, lost it in the sun. He quickly grabs the ball and forces Nomah at second. He never showed a sign of panic." homer

So, it's 4-1, in the 9th, Lidge comes on. One thing and another, run scores, bases loaded, 2 outs, Lofton up, Garner brings in Wheeler... oh he gets the out on a fly ball to right.  That was almost as an afterthought. There might be some talk.

The Astros high tail it for home, Nieve v. Jennings and the Rockies, 7:05.
