I saw that he played shortstop in today's game for Lexington. At first I thought it was an error in the box score because Wladmir Sutil was listed in right (he's a MI). But, they listed them at those positions in the game log, also.

It's an interesting move for the club. Einertson has great power for a guy his size and if it all came together at short, could be a Miggy-type player (though I don't think his ceiling is that high). Hopefully he can put his past behind him and get his career on track to reach his potential.

This was addressed in the Minors Discussion Forum yesterday...

The Link

If you want to post minors questions and/or comments in this forum, that's fine (although the minors discussion forum would be more appropriate). But at least read the MLR before you do to see if something has already been covered.

To be more explicit, it was simply a reporting error that filtered through to both the game log and box score.

And as far as Einertson being tried as an infielder, they tried him at 2B two years ago in instructional league. To say that he wasn't succesful there would be putting it mildly. And again, this information was previously posted in the MLR.

OK, clue me in.  I have no idea what a "Miggy-type player" is.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Maybe some type of hybrid?

A Venezulan fighter jet that corners well and can play outfield?

Tejada.  And, it'd be a major stretch if Mitch had actually played SS.
