If Roy can throw 13 more shutout innings to begin this season, he'll have a lower career ERA than Greg Maddux.

Wow.

Now, the question is, what is more sick, that stat, or the fact that you found it?
I hope everyone appreciates what we(Astro fans) have had the opportunity to watch the last few years.  Roy's career has been great so far, and we can only hope for more of the same from him.
Oh, and when does the pay Roy whatever he wants thread start?

FWIW, Rob Neyer threw out Roy O's name in an ESPN chat today when someone asked about potential 300-game winners, citing Mulder, Hudson, and Zito as less likely to keep up their early pace. I think Santana was the only other experienced young name he thought had a shot.

Among pitchers in his age group, Oswalt is one of the few pitchers with even an outside shot based on his current career win total.
