Sportscenter's "Fake News Conferences"

The Link

I caught the Yankees 'conference' last night.  In a nutshell, it was still boring.  I'd rather watch poker.
How can you ask me a question like that?  Do you ask The Beatles that??

Heck, I'm watching Drew Rosenhaus scream at the media right now about how much he loves T.O., while Owens stands awkwardly behind him. I find it hard to believe this is real (especially since everything about "the controversy" occured by and through ESPN personnel and outlets).

i think an all tz news conference would be more interesting... i mean how could the astros hold up with out this faithful band supporting them behind the scenes mostly with out the astros knowledge. i mean we all know it was the rallys ranting ravings and those with a 1000 or more post and more time than they know what to do with that are singularly responsible well for most of the rumors gossip and one underated yearly softball game
.
forever is composed entirely of nows

I'll tell you what would make for better TV than both a fake MLB news conference and poker:

A duel to the death between Drew Rosenhaus and Scott Boras, using only plastic sporks as weapons, after which the winner is savaged by wild dogs.
"Go play intramurals, brother.  Go play intramurals..."

Sportscenter has become a joke.  Those fake news conferences are hilariously stupid.

It was pretty classic that they had technical difficulties during the one for the Red Sox.

Technical difficulties.  For a simulated press conference.

I saw one of those the other night.  Am I missing something?  Why are they doing this?  It is beyond moronic...it's sub-moronic.
News that is sufficiently bad somehow carries its own guarantee of truth.  Only good reports need confirmation.

Apparantly there was an Astros one. Did anyone catch it? Can anyone figure out why I even care? I can't.

There was one for the Astros. I caught it with the sound turned down. I wasn't even compelled to pick the remote up. Lots of ridiculously shaky camera (for realism) and a 'serious' Karl Ravech, rug and all.
