Dammit. Why don't they ever do these things on a Saturday or Sunday?

Because Happy Hour for City Council starts at 11:45 on Fridays.

I went to the rally last year and found it to be a letdown.  Find a place to park, and then jockey for position so you can actually see the people at the podium.  I took my then 2 1/2 year old son with me.  That was not a good idea.

If you have nothing better to do, it's an alright way to kill a couple of hours I suppose.
