What section?

We got 336.  Right by the right foul pole, but I don't care.

Be sure to come say hi, we will be in row 3 seats 9-12.

I am not in charge of holding the tickets.

Good thing too, or you'd be sitting in a bar crying in your beer.

Good for you, you lowdown dirty bastards!

I never got the second chance e-mail, so I suppose I lost in that drawing.

I'm going to ride out eBay and the scalpers over the weekend and see what I can get early next week.

Either that, or take out a second mortgage!

My wife  almost bought a $2K ticket for me yesterday. 1) I do not want just a single ticket. 2) that is freakin' insane.

Of course, as next Tuesday and Wednesday nears I may go completely bonkers.

What?  No wonder you were only willing to give me fish sticks for my tickets - you got your own chance at tickets!  How did you get them?  Did you get a second chance email you didn't know about when you were offering me said fish sticks?

My tickets are for Game 5 (PLEASE let there be a game 5).  My hubby is working in Alaska this week and doesn't know if he would be able to make it back for game 3 or 4, so we took a chance on game 5.  Also, I think I got screwed - my 4 tickets together are in the upper tank, I THINK on the LAST row at the top (Row 16 does anyone know?).  I put in best available and that's what came up and I was too afraid to try to go back to the end of the line and find more. Oh well, at least I get to be there and for a mere $529 for all four tickets.

Is everyone getting together for Game 3 (non ticket holders)?

If so, where?  Is the HA thing just for away games?

We got our Game 4 tix and I tell you what, I just can't do it. I can't spend ANOTHER $2k right now.  So, we'll go to Houston and if we find decent prices on Mon/Tues, we'll go to Game 3.

If we don't get tix, though, we want to go get rowdy with other REAL Astro fans.

5 people in my family entered the contest so that I could have a better chance at netting tickets.  It was me, my husband, my mom, my sister, and her husband. My sister and her husband are not fans, so the tickets were for me, hubby, daughter, and my mom.  Also, rejection emails were only received by my hubby, sis' hubby, and mom.  I think for some reason it cancelled me and my sister due to duplicate IP addresses or physical addresses.  And my husband's email/entry was the ONLY one to receive the second chance email.

This is my plan as well.  I hope a catch someone on their way in the game who isn't gouging people but wants to get something for an extra ticket (but doesn't want to wait around long enough to haggle, etc)

If that fails, I retreat to a bar with ample tvs and a good crowd.  Would like to watch with some others, my friends are pretty good fans but they lose focus and start talking about other shit all the time

I don't think it booted IP addresses.  There were a lot of people that registered from their place of work since that is when it opened.

But, I registered myself, my mom, my dad, and my boss.  My dad (under my email) won the second chance lottery.

The only reason I thought it may have been the IP address or physical address is because I registered myself first.  Right afterwards, I registered again from the same office computer in my house (my sister in Austin did the same thing, registering herself first, then her husband, on the same computer).  I also registered my mom (with her email and phsyical address in Port Arthur), but on my laptop downstairs in my house.  It seems to me that ONLY the last entries (of those made from the same computer or listing the same physical address) were accepted. It must have been the physical addresses then since you registered 4 people from your work computer.  Did both your mom and dad receive the original rejection email?

Edited to add that my home work computer and laptop are NOT on the same network.

My roommate's buddy was in Boston for Game 5. He claimed to be an Astros fan, but couldn't resist the urge to talk about the girl he hooked up with last Thursday at just about every single important moment in the game.

I was going to drop 2K for tickets to game 3, but decided that it was too steep for one game and I wanted to see them all.  Instead, I figured I'd use the money to revive the local economy and at the same time I'll have front row seats for all games.  I'm going to be sitting on my driveway listening to the games on the radio and watch the neighborhood kids act out the play by play for each game.  Contract negotiations are going well, I'm down to my last hold out, and that looks like it will be shored up by nightfall.  Greedy punk wants a cut of all revenue earned from the sale of beer cans to the recycler.

I did not know about being a second chance winner at the time I offered the fish sticks.  "We" entered four times, myself, my dad, my wife, and her dad.  My wife was the only entry that won a second chance.  She was online at 9:55 pushing "enter" continuously until she got in to buy the tickets.
