Austin-area Zone dwellers
« on: October 05, 2005, 10:12:36 am »
I'm up for skipping out of work to catch (most of) Game 1 today. If anyone's got something cooking and requires someone to drink with them, I'm your guy. Email me, otherwise I'm making a beeline to Ringer's downtown.

Go Stros...

Well I am meeting a few of my buds at The Posse East. Come on down it should be loud and fun. I will be the guy splashing cold water on his face, muttering incoherently,  and pacing back and forth like a maniac.( and loving every minute of it I might add)

fwiw, I know The(air conditioned)Tavern 12th & Lamar has long been a gathering spot for alot of posters in here.
Remember Jesus Alou being called out of the 1st base coaching box to pinch-hit a double vs. the Reds in '79 I think, to win a crucial game, and he patted Morgan on top of the head (ala Benny Hill w/the little bald guy) and Little Joe got pissed.....yeah,that was great.

I highly recommend the Nachos at Posse East.  Served chalupa style, they are cheap, quick, and guaranteed to untie every knot in your belly. Alternating a pitcher of your favorite hops and an order of nachoes every inning, will equalize your gaseous explosions from the front and back door.

The Taco burger at Posse kicks ass.

I work (and live near) 183 and Mopac, so it's off to either legends or D&Bs when I get out of here.

Posse East should hire you to head up their marketing campaign.  Just reading your description makes me want to locate a restroom.

Thanks for the mental picture.  And how does gas explode out the front door?  Nevermind, please don't answer that.
Oh God, I wish I was a loofah!

Perhaps "upstairs and downstairs" would've been a better analogy, altough that does sound a little like 2nd and 3rd bases (in Limeyspeak, that's "tops and fingers").
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.
