WOnder why my previews have sucked? Well, here's a little bit of insight:
(1) Work has been crazy, which has necessitated a few late nights working including sending out financial models at 3:30 in the morning.
(2) Wife. Pregnant. Hormones.
(3) Daughter. 3 years old. ADD.
(4) Nothing like having to preview another series when you're getting your ass kicked. Not sure how ALkie did it in 2000. Its hard to get fired up to write: "Astros get solid pitching but the offense only managed 5 hits" over and over and over again.
So here is the quick and dirty Giants/Astros preview.

Giants Update
No Schmidt, no Bonds, no Benitez and yet they are a .500 team. How are they doing it? I have no idea. We should pound these fuckers.
Astros Update
Offense, the brief version: if you are an Astro on the active roster and you are not going to the HOF, then you aren't hitting.
Pitching, the brief version: 5th starters have sucked, all pitchers who have played for a team in NY are good, Oswalt/Lidge/Qualls have been up and down.
What to Expect
Astros fail to score runs, lose 2 of 3. Clemens to do another 7 inning, 2 runs or less outing.
