Christmas Morning
« on: September 01, 2017, 09:04:57 am »
I never had the experience of waking up on Christmas morning to find presents under the tree.  As an observant Jew, that just wasn't part of the deal.  And I'm not sure entirely what that feels like.  But when I woke up this morning and saw the news that the Astros had traded for Verlander ... well, this was Christmas morning for me.  I'm not sure that I properly explained to my wife why I was dancing around the bedroom shouting (nay singing) "fuck yeah" at the top of my lungs.   And I scared the dog.  But god-damn!!!!!

Thanks Jeff Luhnow.  I never doubted you.  :)
