Here's some links to the visible images coming off of the new GOES-16 satellite that was launched last fall an is in a pre-operational testing state.  The images are of such high quality (and large) that they are broken into quadrants for the developing Tropical Depression 3 (soon to be Tropical Storm Cindy).  The images are at 0.5km resolution and are taken every minute.  For reference, the current Goes-W and GOES-E satellites take scans every 15 minutes at 1.0km resolution and will be put in rapid-scan mode for critical events only (scans every 3-4 minutes) since it stresses the supporting infrastructure.  Here's the links, they should shift with the storm motion as it progresses to the NW:

Time sensitive; here's a link to that center image loop but expanded out to two+ hours.  The center of circulation is about to come into view.  It should be a spectacular loop to look at thru sunset as the setting sun illuminates and provides contrast to the tallest thunderheads well.
