Pretty crowded infield at CC but I'm guessing that gets alleviated somewhat by Kemp playing the OF.

With Petit gone from Fresno, now room with the Grizzlies for Fontana (or Mier) to move up which reduces the surplus even more.

I think I read he just threw his first bullpen session of the spring today so he's probably got a month or so in EST first.

I'm kinda surprised Kemp is back in CC. Played 59 games there last year, and hit .292/.381/.425. Maybe they felt the Fresno OF would be too crowded with Aplin, Santana, Hoes, and Tucker? There is a DH spot...

QC squad looks OK to me ... some real strength in the OF and at P and some lesser known but decent prospects elsewhere.

Correa with a HR and double last night in CC against Astros pitching. Moran had a couple  of hits and Nash homered also. Astros won 7-4 I believe.

Lancaster won't have its most-talented squad, but Reed, Davis, and McDonald in the middle of the lineup will hit a lot of home runs. Phillips and Vasquez in the outfield and the top of the lineup will be fun to watch. On the mound, Feliz and Sanudo will be worth keeping an eye on. I imagine Fisher will be joining the lineup at some point, also.

Fisher's assignment surprised me at first, but I had forgotten that he never made it to QC last season. I guess he'll get a couple of months there to start things off.

Kemp played a lot of OF at Vanderbilt, moved to 2B his Junior year (I think) due to team needs. It's been implied by Astros FO that he's going to play a lot of OF this year due to Altuve's presence at 2B.

So they probably are grooming him for a potential OF/2B/whatever utility role, and yes, you're right that Sclafani and Torreyes are both also light-hitting utility-types who have mainly played middle IF.
