Just finished watching the documentary about the guy currently airing on HBO. Going in I only had vague recollections of Glickman, primarily from his early days with the cable network. But he was a really fascinating athlete and announcer. The entire doc is terrific but especially the part about his experience at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin is not to be missed (and how the fuck did an asshole like Avery Brundage manage to stay involved in the Olympics for so long I'll never understand).
Anyhow, if you have a chance to watch the doc I don't think you'll be disappointed.
