148! Pitch count Police be damned!
« on: July 14, 2013, 08:41:56 am »
I watched Lincecum's nono last night into the wee hours of the morning. His command wasn't as sharp as I've seen it in the past (he walked four, which is not unusual of late), but he was missing bats again, primarily with his slider and cut fastball, striking out 13 (12 were swinging strike threes). I commend Bochy for sticking with him well past the usual pitch count police warning levels. Good for him. He's struggled for the past few seasons, and I hope that he can build on this performance because the Giants need him, especially now.

Thanks for not posting some thinly veiled allusion to it while it was going on. Pence!

Actually, I wasn't by my computer and thought that no one else was up or cared. I didn't expect the nono to continue, especially given Lincecum over the past three seasons.

The order has changed since the Astros got forced to the AL but the Giants are probably my second or third favorite NL team.

I liked that Mays guy. If only they could come up with another outfielder like him, then they might have something.

I've settled on the Giants as my favorite NL team after having followed them closely during my time in the bay area. However, the Nats are a close second, followed by the Pirates.

Got to see the final five outs.  Great to see Lincecum with that achievement. I had no idea he had that many Ks along the way.  Pence's catch was sweet.

Watched the 27 outs on line this morning.  Sandoval made three very nice plays at 3rd earlier in the game and deserves a big thank you from Timmy.

It was interesting that he reacted more to the great defensive plays by Sandoval and Pence than he did to the final out of the game.

Lincecum usually plays the stoic one. However, he had to be pumped on the final out.

Verlander doesn't have his best stuff, has walked 3 with 2 strike outs, thrown 97 pitches through six. If he keeps it up, that's a pace for about 160 or so.

He's had a lot of hard hit balls off him, but they have all been outs.  Hope it continues.

Anyone that harbors deep seated hatred for the Dodgers is ok in my book.  Do they hate the Mariners too?  God I hope so, fuck the Mariners.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

Agreed on both scores. Fuck the Dodgers.
