Irrespective of the facts that the no. 2 hitter is not a no. 2 hitter, the no. 3 hitter is probably a no. 7 hitter on other teams and the no. 9 hitter shouldn't even be in the big leagues, I don't see anything strange in tonight's lineup.

I assume you mean no. 8, or have you seen enough of Norris?

Sounds as if the Rays have no respect for Castro or just have Norris down.  Another problem for the club to overcome.

Carter with a solo shot to tie it up. Hopefully, a sign the drought is over.

Ah, fuck me.   I still check the NL standings to see how many games we've lost.

Wallace with a lead off hustle double to LF, just beating the tag attempt. Elmore comes in to pinch run for him.

Castro hit a single to RF but for some unknown reason 3rd Base coach Trembley holds Elmore at third.

Pitching change, runners on the corners with no outs.

It should be 2-1 right now, Carter at bat, facing lefty McGee.

Carter works the count full, then unloads a three run bomb. Astros take a 4-1 lead on Carter's 17.

I can't remember the last time they had a lead.

Before Martinez's double, Pena had grounded out to third, then Barnes and Dominguez struck out to end the 7th. Astros lead 4-1.

We should be able to trade him for Jeff Bagwell.

I'm gonna have to stop reading game threads after imbibing adult beverages, 'cause if I didn't know better I'd swear that it appears the Astros may have won a game tonight...
