Sad sight tonight...
« on: April 08, 2013, 07:39:19 pm »
Is anyone else watching Roy Halladay tonight? Something is either wrong with him, or he's done. He's got little velocity and is throwing everything down and away, which is pitcher-ese for not trusting your stuff. His command is poor. Now he's out after surrendering five earnies in the top of the fifth frame, with runners on the corners and none out.

I saw one inning and it was ugly. Read some stuff about his arm slot and a possible injury, or just wear and tear.  Don't know what the reason is, but I imagine the Phil's are worried.

Every report from ST was that he's done.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Phuck the Phillies. They're dead to me.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Halladay through 8 innings, allows one run, five hits, one BB and one K, 87 pitches. Not dead yet.
