Nice pics of Orbit--free content.

How can you call it free content when you pay a price to get through it?

The inevitable A-Rod salary exceeding that of the entire Astros' payroll.

Ya know... but for reading this article, I'd've had no clue that the Astros were moving to the American League East.  Thanks for the info!

As the team moves into the American League East, it's in re-building mode.

Yes, because playing in the NL Central made no geographical sense.

I consider reading retarded professional media coverage of what should/could be a major market baseball team a minor part of the price I pay for being an Astros Fan. God Bless the OWA. I am missing Footer more than usual today.

Honest question... is he still in baseball?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Didn't sign with a team in the offseason. Odds are he's done.

I think that he's done too and, frankly, has been since his power declined. Just not much room on a roster for an aging punch-n-judy hitter. I think that Bobby Abreu is in the exact same unemployed boat.

Wow, this is awful.  Sean Pendergast, welcome to my "People I Want to Punch in the Nuts" list.

Quote
"Gone are the "rivalries" with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs, which frankly were steeped more in a few division title races and, in the case of the Cardinals, a couple of postseason series than in any sort of historical or geographic logic. "

WTF?  Division races and postseason series aren't "historical?"

Quote
"To stay with the "Astros franchise as an actual domicile" analogy I used earlier"

Oh good.  Glad you decided to stay with that, it was working so well.  I stopped reading at that point.  More old news, unfounded supposition and irrelevant editorializing, I suppose?

Speaking of cover stories http://www.barnesandnoble.com/sample/read/9780385536127

I guess the editors said, "now who in baseball currently projects the most hapless, sad-sack image? Well, the Houston Astros of course."  Yes, that is Adam Everett on the cover of Who's On Worst.

Move 'em to the NL!

Good point, their "rivalry" with the Red Sox is only due to some division title races and a few postseason series.
