Astros @ FTCubs Series Preview is now up

Done.

And done.

Perched up in a rocking-chair
With my feet all bare
Rolling my blunt in a cigar wrap
Live an adolescent mind
Never do take the time
Waiting for my high, quiet as it's kept

How did I get so far gone?
Where do I belong?
And where in the world did I ever go wrong?
If I took the time to replace
What my mind erased
I still feel as if I'm here but I'm gone

Man, that was beautiful.  And hard to read.  I've got that same feeling in my chest that I get when a band that I love, like really love, announces their breakup.

Godspeed, Dark Star.

DS, I know how you feel about this team, but you put it into words much better than I ever could have. That was painful, but just right.

And as for your stories, man I wish you would write a book. I would read that fucker from beginning to end in one sitting. Ideally on a beach somewhere, but maybe out in the woods.

Thanks for writing and sharing so much. I've looked forward to your writing every time, and when I see you've posted, it's something I want to sit and spend some time with. It's not all necessarily fun and enjoyable, because your stories are often painful, but I usually think about them for a long time afterward. And I mean that as the highest compliment I can give. I don't know what else to say but thanks, and please keep writing, whether it's here or somewhere else.

This profoundly saddens me. Dark Star, please reconsider. You have friends here. Don't just leave us hanging.

Thanks, DS, for each and every one of your Previews.  This year just keeps getting shittier.
Don't think twice, it's alright.

Now that was a hell of a parting gift (although I hope it doesn't mean parting).

I salute you, Raconteur of the Gulf Coast.  I was at a wedding in Surfside last weekend and I couldn't stop thinkin' 'bout Dark Star's stories and wondering if he was haunting the same beach at some point, figuring out some inscrutable point about the universe!

Your tales always remind me of my childhood, particularly my grandparents' ratty beach house at La Porte. Salt smell, paintings of 'great moments in Texas history sponsored by Lone Star' and a rickety pool table that I was forbidden to climb on (but always did anyway).  I see my uncles, perpetually sunburned and smiling, coming in from the pier with a crab trap in one hand and a beer in the other.  You'd fit right in with those dudes.

Thanks for the previews and please, do not stop writing!
