It was a beautiful day today, got in some good kayaking on the Guadalupe. Now I'm ready to start dinner and watch some baseball. Go Astros!
Everyone's talking, few of them know

It's caused by the angle of the sun on the camera lense. It will normalize as the as the sun moves towards the horizon.

Hazy or something.  Speaking of CF camera shot though, I like the concept of the dead-on camera in CF.  Offers a better perspective about strike zone, etc. than the one off the side like most broadcasts show.

I see that Maxwell switched numbers to 44. According to Tags, he asked the bullpen coach  to have his number. The bullpen coach gave it to him and took No. 50. His reason: that was the number that he wore in the minor leagues. WTF?

44 is a historic number. I would prefer that over 50.

I agree. It also was Dozer's number for ten years. However, I just quibble with his reason: because he wore it in the minor leagues? That seems petty and silly to me. Had I been the coach, I'd have said "fuck you, rook."

Tropeano had a no-no thru 5 tonight for LEX. Just gave up a 1B in T6.  Was hitting 92 on the gun.  I didn't realize he had that kind of heat.

God damn it: I am 180 degrees out of phase with Ubaldo Jimenez (and practically everybody else on my fantasy team). I start him, and he sucks, so I put him on the bench, and he does well. I pulled him off the bench again today, and sure as shit, he's getting his head handed to him.

In related news, I fell to the absolute bottom of the barrel last night.

Anyway, on a totally different subject as I peruse the scoreboard, I just realized that Paul Konerko guy has 402 HRs, he's hitting .336. The idiot Dodgers traded him for Jeff Shaw. Terrible trade. At least Cincinnati got Mike Cameron when they traded him to Chicago AL.

Congrats on the new gig, Austro.

Thanks, guys. I had been at the old job for a long time, and I felt that I was stagnating technically. I needed a change, and in the last month since I changed I've already gotten exposure to more new things than I had seen in the last five years at the old job. And I'm back to a small company where everybody actually cares about what they're doing, which is refreshing.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

I guess I missed something (again) but congratulations. BTW, what is it that you do?

Hopefully, you'll be able to come back during the day once you get comfortable.
