Contact Info for MLB
« on: November 16, 2011, 09:14:50 pm »
I just called MLB to leave a message voicing my concern of having the Houston Astros forcibly removed from the National League. If you'd like to do the same, here is the contact info list on mlb.com:

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball
Allan H. (Bud) Selig, Commissioner
Address: 245 Park Avenue, 31st Floor
City: New York, State: NY Zip Code: 10167
Phone: 212-931-7800
Fax: 212-949-5654

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/about_mlb/

BTW, let's represent Houston well and leave out what we think about Bud Selig... we can just stick to the issue at hand for now.

Not sure, but congrats on your new baby... I have a 3 year old that played baseball for the first time this fall. Enjoy every minute! It just keeps getting better and better.

Illegal? No. Will it lead to a series of very bad days? Yes.

It's called blastball. It is designed for fun and to begin to teach the fundamentals. The whole game is a batter hits from the tee and runs to first base and it makes a sound. The fielders try to catch the ball and then yell blastball. That's it... no scoring, just fun and learning a little about baseball. Of course, isn't that the whole point of baseball... to play a game that is great and to have fun doing it?

Just frowned upon.  Like counting cards, or masturbating on an airplane.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

3 is far too young for that. seriously, let the kid be a kid for a few years before the parents take over.

Don't listen to Jim.  We had both of our kids working through the minor scales by 3.  When they couldn't play simple Bach by 4, we stopped feeding them until they got it right.  It's the same for baseball.

Seriously, has it been that long since 2005 for everyone... things aren't going well, so let's give parenting advice... and all I'm trying to do is congratulate a guy and encourage him to enjoy every minute of parenthood.

I guess it depends on which calendar one uses.

i'd say that to you if the Astros won the WS yesterday. a 3 year old in organized sports is ridiculous.

I've seen 30 year olds who have no business playing organized sports.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Which is why we don't have a softball game any more.

It was more a case of not being able to find a park that would allow alcohol without having to fork over outrageous sums of money for police/security.
