The only reason to smile this week.

Reason 2: No matter how many home runs the Rangers hit off of Astros pitching, you will not have to hear that %@&$% theme song from The Natural during the next 3 games...

Good stuff GBB (though even the mock-Justice was close enough to the real thing to make me cringe...)!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

The previews here are the best part of the series.

Good stuff, but the NO ONE DENIES THIS is Tommy from Quinzee.

Although I haven't read a column by him and years and I wouldn't put it past Just Dick to steal from an internet writer's parody of another internet writer.

You didn't quote Robert Earl Keen or talk about Earl Weaver.

Did you see that thing on Deadspin where they showed a recent column by, I think Bill Plashke, where he's starting to rip off Bill Simmons style of incorporating long-out-of-fashion pop culture analogies (which itself is out of fashion)? It's only a matter of time Justice starts doing the same, if he isn't already. Give them both 10 more years and they'll start ripping off the KSK style of satirical articles in the voice of modern sport archetypes.

Using long-out-of-fashion pop culture analogies is as dead as disco.

Even though I liked Simmons' basketball book, the references suggest he watches approximately 1 movie and 1 tv show per decade.
