Based on the make-up of the World squad he's likely to get in quite a bit of the game.
The test of a true champion is how he reacts to adversity on days when it is bound to come.

take with a grain of salt but heard Keith Law mention Altuve's name as a possible September call up for the Astros.
Always ready to go to a game.

That would be interesting. They would have to put him on the 40-man roster, right? http://houston.astros.mlb.com/team/roster_40man.jsp?c_id=hou

Of course, it seems likely that a few of those on the roster will be playing for a different team come September.

I think he's going to be Rule 5 eligible after this season, so they're going to have to put him on the 40-man anyway.

He was Rule 5 eligible after last season, but agree that he's going to have to be put on the 40-man roster after this season (or otherwise be lost...).

"Altuve was viewed almost as a curiosity coming into the season at a listed 5-foot-7, but he has shown strong offensive production this season to go along with his standout defense, so he's legit."

I don't remember reading much, if anything, here in the BRDF or elsewhere, praising his defense. So that's good to see.

He was Rule 5 eligible after last season, ...

John Manuel addressed that in a chat a while back, saying that he wasn't eligible to be taken despite some reports out there claiming he was.

Hadn't realized that, thanks for the info!
