RIP Drew Hill

Many memories of going to the Astrodome and watching the Oilers and the run and shoot offense. Drew Hill was a favorite of mine.

That's really sad. 54 is way too young.

It's amazing to me that the NFL and related media are mostly ignoring or minimizing these smoking gun cases of brain disease caused by playing the sport. These are gigantic stories if you ask me, especially in light of the current labor shoehumping.

I hate to say it, but you got to wonder what's causing strokes in 54 year olds...

I hate to say it, but you got to wonder what's causing strokes in 54 year olds...

The only thing I could find was one report that he'd been diagnosed with high blood pressure when he felt ill previously, then had the strokes while on the golf course. Another report mentioned that he hadn't been feeling well.

High blood pressure will kill you stone dead. Check it, monitor it, take care of it.

I am not trying to be an alarmist, but I fear we are standing on the verge of beginning a drift in Kip Wells' direction here.
